FlightVor
Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your access to and use of FlightVor, including its aircraft activity, flight-claim, notification, and reporting features.
Effective October 8, 2026
Using FlightVor
You must provide accurate information, protect your account, and use FlightVor only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for information entered under your account and for ensuring that people you add or notify are authorized to participate.
Flight review and claims
Aircraft activity and notification links are provided for review. Opening a notification or magic link never claims a flight. A pilot is attached to a flight only after the pilot takes the explicit Claim flight action. Users should independently verify each flight record before relying on it.
Aviation and third-party data
FlightVor is an administrative recordkeeping service, not an air traffic, dispatch, navigation, safety, or regulatory-compliance system. Flight and aircraft data may come from third-party sources and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Connected logbooks and other third-party services are governed by their own terms and require the user’s authorization.
SMS Terms
During the current private beta, FlightVor may record a mobile number and affirmative SMS consent, but transactional SMS delivery remains disabled until carrier-registration approval and the controlled launch are complete. By opting in, you agree to receive recurring transactional text messages from FlightVor about detected flights and flight-claim requests once messaging is activated. Message frequency will vary with flight activity. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. FlightVor sends these messages from +1 (850) 755-9118.
After messaging is activated, you may reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. A verified pilot who previously opted in may text START, YES, or UNSTOP to restore that prior consent; these keywords do not create a first-time opt-in. Before launch or at any time, you may email support@flightvor.com. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages, and your mobile carrier’s terms apply.
Separately, a registered pilot may request one account-recovery text by visiting https://app.flightvor.com/recover, entering their own verified mobile number, and selecting Request a recovery link. Requesting that one-time account-access message does not enroll the pilot in recurring flight alerts. Message and data rates may apply, and the recovery form links to this page and our Privacy Policy.
Availability and responsibility
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features and cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free service. To the extent permitted by law, FlightVor is provided as available and without warranties not expressly stated here. You remain responsible for operational, billing, tax, logbook, and regulatory decisions made using service information.
Privacy and changes
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. We may update these terms as the service evolves; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
